Sometimes you just lose track of people who used to own the spotlight. Such is the case with one of my favorites from the past. I'm a huge fan of the late night chat shows. And I miss Craig Kilborn. His style was awesome...and his 5 questions were a great centerpiece feature of a great "Late Late Show."

After hosting SportsCenter and The Daily Show, Letterman came calling in 1998. Dave and his Worldwide Pants Co. wanted Kilborn to take the helm of the Late Late Show. Craig produced some great TV moments in his 5-year run on that show.

This Minnesota dude could charm anyone - just ask Charlize.

Three years ago, he re-appeared in a short-lived Fox series called "The Kilborn File." It was cut just a few weeks into production. Outside of a few podcast appearances, he's been idle.

I think Kilborn would thrive again on late night. Craig Fergusen's replacement was named a few months ago, but Craigers would have been a better fit than James Cordon, IMO. Maybe ABC would like to generate something outside of the now-obselete Nightline and follow Kimmel with another talker.

Classic moment there to open the Jon Stewart era. Yes, it's time for Craigers to play some funky music again.
