Westdale Project Progressing at Rapid Speed
With CBS2 reporting that PetSmart has opened its second Cedar Rapids location at 3825 Westdale Drive SW, rapid progress continues on the Westdale redevelopment.
PetSmart held its grand opening this past weekend, possibly a few days behind schedule based on earlier reports, but pet owners on that side of town are excited about the opening. With Ross Dress for Less also recently opening, this puts Westdale at over 50 percent completion, and does so 4 years ahead of schedule, according to Frew Development, the project developers.
They continue to sign leases and develop projects for the site, and expect 2018 to be another big year of work and construction on the Westdale development.
