Summer weekends are always so busy - Eastern Iowa has so many great festivals, famer's market, or places to explore. So why not try something completely different and see people pull a 757 airplane?

That's right, the Second Annual Pulling for Honor event is being held this Saturday, July 15 near the FedEx facility at The Eastern Iowa Airport. Teams of up to 25 people will pull the 65-ton plane a total of 12 feet. The team that does it the fastest gets bragging rights. All the money raised will go to Eastern Iowa Honor Flight - the local group that organizes free flights for veterans to see war memorials in Washington, D.C.

Things kick off at 8:00 a.m. this Saturday and admission to attend is FREE. There are plenty of other things to do at the event. EAA Chapter 33 will be offering free airplane rides for kids ages 8-17, there'll be several airplanes on display and food for sale, including the Tacos Don Diego's food truck.

And there's BEER! Yes, for you beer connoisseurs, Toppling Goliath is planning to serve a variety of beer.

I'll be there, too. I'm going to be the pull team announcer, so stop out, say "Hi" and cheer on the teams. It all for a great cause - I'll see you this Saturday!
