U2 is coming to Chicago on Saturday June 3, 2017 for a special concert performance.

The band is celebrating the 30th anniversary of their landmark album "The Joshua Tree" with a major worldwide concert tour in 2017 that will feature the band performing the 1987 album in its entirety.

Tickets for the Chicago date go on sale Tuesday, January 17th at 10:00 a.m. with the usual concert promoter pre-sale opportunities for their biggest fans going on now.

And of course the ticket "re-sellers" are already promoting advance ticket sales that you can check out and purchase now, here.

I saw the band perform the Joshua Tree tour in Chicago back in '87 at the old Rosemont Horizon. Some of my friends who were even bigger fans of U2 called the concert a "religious experience" and I admit it was an exceptional live performance!

To recapture the same raw, emotional bond created on that tour may appeal to some older fans. For other who were perhaps not even alive in '87, the chance to to experience that moment 30 years later should be worth the travel, time and money.
