U.S. Warns of Possible New Terror Threats

As if things couldn't get any crazier, there are now reports of possible terror threats against the U.S. as we approach Election Day.

U.S. intelligence officials have put local terrorism task forces on alert warning of potential terrorist threats in New York, Texas, and Virginia planned for the day before the election.

Sources told CBS News that al Qaeda could be planning attacks ahead of Election Day on Tuesday, targeting the three states. The sources indicated that there have not been any credible threats made against specific places in New York, Virginia, or Texas.

The FBI issued a public statement on Friday saying that federal counter terrorism and homeland security authorities “remain vigilant and well-postured” to defend against domestic terrorist attacks.
