Iowa football coach Kirk Ferentz announced Wednesday that two more Iowa lineman will be held out of the Hawkeye's season opener against Northern Illinois.

Starting offensive tackle Alaric Jackson and starting defensive tackle Cedrick Lattimore have both been suspended for the game for a violation of team rules. Specifics were not detailed by the university. This comes on the heels of two previously announced suspensions for the Northern Illinois game. Starting offensive tackle Tristan Wirfs and backup defensive lineman Brady Reif will also sit for the season opener. Both of their suspensions follow alcohol-related offenses.

For Jackson, this will be the second straight game he has missed due to suspension. He also missed last year's Pinstripe Bowl in New York City for the same reason, a violation of team rules. His replacement for that game, Levi Paulsen, has been injured this spring. That leaves Iowa with no other players who have started a game at tackle for the season opener.
