The skyline of Cedar Rapids doesn't have a lot in it, admittedly. There is one landmark we have come to know and love, and that is Mt. Trashmore. The old landfill peaks above the horizon, giving the flat Midwestern landscape a little bit of character. As "majestic" as Mt. Trashmore is, this is the time of year where small mountains appear nearly everywhere.

May I present to you, Mt. Snowmore!

Mt. Snowmore, as I am calling it, is a gigantic pile of snow left here at the pedestrian area in front of the station's office. They basically clear all of the snow from the area, including the top floor of the parking garage, and dump it right here. And it takes little to no time to pile pretty high.

As you can see here at the entrance, it's nearly as tall as the first floor of the parking garage!

From this angle, it looks like a giant frosted cake. A cake made of road salt, sand, and dirty snow. Just like mom used to make...
