Tool’s ‘10,000 Days’ Turns 10! (VIDEO)

Today marks 10 years since the release of Tool’s last studio album, 10,000 Days. Yes, a decade. It’s been a long, frustrating wait for Tool fans, but we are led to believe that our wait is almost over. The band indicated in 2014 that a lengthy lawsuit had slowed work on a new album. With that behind them, it sounds like it’s all systems go. But even without distraction, this band isn’t known for getting in a big rush. Specific details seem sketchy... I predict we'll see something in 2017. As we continue our wait, I thought I’d pay homage to 10,000 Days as it turns 10 years old.

Released in North America on May 2^nd, 2006, 10,000 Days was another strong and robust album, clocking in at nearly 76 minutes. It’s, quite simply, a Tool album. It had its ambience, brooding and multiple tracks clocking in at over 10 minutes. It also had its successful radio singles – “Vicarious”, “The Pot” and “Jambi”. It performed well commercially, debuting at #1 on the Billboard 200 chart and going on to multi-platinum status.
