Tool 2016 U.S. Tour Dates Announced

Tool has announced the first 8 shows for their upcoming tour. If you're an Iowan in need of the Tool live experience, you're going to have to wait. Well, unless you want a really long road trip. Here's a list of the just-announced dates...

• January 9 – San Diego, CA @ Viejas Arena
• January 13 – San Antonio, TX @ AT&T Center
• January 16 – Tulsa, OK @ BOK Center
• January 17 – Grand Prairie, TX @ Verizon Theatre
• January 19 – Southaven, MS @ Landers Center
• January 23 – Nashville, TN @ Bridgestone Arena
• January 25 – Atlanta, GA @ Infinite Energy Center
• January 26 – Charlotte, NC @ Bojangles Coliseum

We'll hope that this is just the beginning, and that we'll have more opportunities to see Tool live.  Their Cedar Rapids show back in October 2001 and their Ames show in September 2002 are still two of the best shows I've ever seen.  We're also still waiting for the follow-up to 2006's 10,000 Days... maybe 2016 will be the year?
