I think it's human nature to just accept what you're told, especially if you're told it from a very early age. I'm guessing that over Easter weekend, most of you didn't bother to ask, "What are we doing?" "Does this make any sense?" Yes, my Easter weekend did consist of a very nice meal. But it also consisted of my son, niece and nephews getting spoiled with obnoxious amounts of candy and gifts. They were told that the Easter Bunny had left the eggs full of chocolates during the night. This reminded me of a hilarious bit that the late comedian Bill Hicks used to do...

Most will say, "Oh, it's harmless. The kids are having fun. Why do you have to be such a scrooge?" Well, I personally believe there are way too many Hallmark holidays on the calendar. Just a bunch of made-up B.S. Another excuse to spend money on thoughtless holiday cards and food that is horrible for you. Lap it up America!
