Jackson, Michigan is home to a state prison and a less-than-world-class drug-dealing quarterback. NBC News is reporting on a man facing felony charges for trying to hurl a football filled with drugs, phones and chargers over the prison wall.

Christen Moore's toss came up just short.

Reminds me of the time Jack Barker tried to toss a backpack out of a window at Jackson School in 5th grade. His contraband was less volatile: Grape Fanta. He was worried about getting it past the "front door lady." Kid was a real sugar addict.

Moore was charged with furnishing contraband to prisoners. A spokesperson said it wasn't that tough of a throw...he just may have packed that ball with too much stuff.

Maybe a punt would have made it.
