Get ready to ROCK, Cedar Rapids!

The Unincorporated are playing at Chrome Horse tonight for the first time. The band is excited to rock the stage and also celebrate the release of their new EP "Too Much Caffeine."

So it's a concert, and a CD release party and it's all happening tonight, Friday, February 8th at Chrome Horse. The show is absolutely FREE and there will be plenty of drink specials as well as great deals on merchandise from the band.

Speaking of the band, these guys are awesome! I saw them perform at Tailgators a few weeks ago and they killed it! Great musicianship, heavy guitar and a kick-ass rhythm section. If you haven't checked out The Unincorporated, I would definitely try to attend tonight's concert at Chrome Horse.

Show starts at 8 with openers NAOMI - Music and Tim Riven. Chrome Horse General Manager, Derek Collins told me, "We're pumped for this show. It's been cold as ice around here and this is just what we needed to warm things up!"

I've interviewed the band's drummer, Jason Feight, on my morning show a few times. I can tell you this much for sure , he loves his music and has a passion like I've never seen before. He's always promoting and I expect big things out of these Eastern Iowa headbangers!

Their motto, it's simple: "We play music intended for human beings and smarter-than-average Bears." I don't know that EXACTLY what that means...but I think I love it!

And I'll say this, the crew at Chrome do it right. There's not enough places around here to see live bands every Friday & Saturday. Their staff is some of the best in town and they've been providing great service and strong drinks for years.

Just don't piss of Jamison, he'll be the one behind the bar wearing the Slayer shirt, smiling from ear to ear. YOU WANT TO STAY ON HIS GOOD SIDE. All jokes aside, he's a damn good bartender and a Chrome Horse favorite.

But if he's busy, look for Jess! She's the BEST and your drink will always be full and ice cold. These two have been slinging drinks for years and everyone looks forward to their mad skills and great customer service.
