Happy 2019!

A few years ago, I made it my New Year's resolution to try 12 Eastern Iowa restaurants I had never tried before. I know that going out to eat more is the exact opposite of many people's resolutions, but I thoroughly enjoy going to restaurants and I would never rob myself of that joy. I ended up trying over 15 new restaurants that year, many of which I've been back to again. I know we have a lot of popular chain restaurants in the area, but supporting local business is great for everybody!

I came across a list on Only in Your State titled, "The 12 Iowa Restaurants You Should Add To Your 2019 Dining Bucket List." Since many of the chosen restaurants aren't exactly close to us, I was inspired to put my own list together. There are truly a TON of amazing restaurants here, so it was really, really difficult to narrow it down to just ten. I also want to point out that these restaurants are just my (Courtlin) personal favorites based off of the types of foods I like to eat. While putting the list together, I realized I really love appetizers, Buffalo chicken, and literally anything fried and/or involving cheese. Here are my top 10 restaurants in Eastern Iowa that I think you should visit this year:
