The man that brought you the song “Chicken Fried” is becoming a regular contributor on alternative music airwaves.  Yes, you can hear Zac Brown contributing on two songs currently in heavy rotation on KRNA – “Congregation” by the Foo Fighters and the new Zac Brown Band single, “Heavy is the Head” featuring Chris Cornell on vocals.

Born and raised in Georgia, the 36 year-old Brown is a talented, hard-working, music-loving guy.  The Zac Brown Band exploded onto the scene back in 2008 when “Chicken Fried” became a #1 hit on the Billboard country charts.  Since then, he’s collaborated with Alan Jackson, Jimmy Buffett, Kid Rock and Jason Mraz, to name a few.  Brown played with the Foo Fighters on “Congregation”, and the song was recorded in his Southern Ground Studios in Nashville.  His band’s new album, Jekyll + Hide will be out April 28th, and features the aforementioned “Heavy is the Head” with Cornell.  The song is the band’s first entry on the Billboard Rock charts.
