I'm a huge follower of the Iowa men's basketball team, so I don't know how the season has snuck up on me, but it has. It begins tomorrow night as the Hawks tip-off the season at 8:30 against Hampton, part of a men's/women's double-header. Hampton finished 18-13 a year ago and is predicted to finish second in the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference in 2014-15.

The Hawks have plenty of familiar faces, along with some new ones. Here's the Hawkeye roster for the coming season. One player to watch on the opposing side tomorrow night is guard Deron Powers, a pre-season first-team all-conference pick. Then again, will you be able to see the game?

Friday night's season opener will be carried here by ESPN3, making it much more difficult to access than the normal game. Check here to see if you'll be able to watch tomorrow night. Look for the 9:30 Eastern time tip-off, then click on the key to enter your cable or satellite provider.

If you're not on the list, tickets are still available at Carver-Hawkeye Arena for the double-header... the 19th-ranked Hawkeye women, who have great expectations for this season, take on USC Upstate at 6 pm in their season opener.
