The Scottish band, The Fratellis have a new single out now called "Baby Don't You Lie To Me". The 3-piece is made up of lead singer/guitarist Jon Fratelli, bassist Barry Fratelli and drummer/backing vocalist Mince Fratelli. That's not their real last name. They got it from the criminal family in the 1985 movie, The Goonies.

I'm a big Chicago Blackhawks fan. Actually, I'm a Chicago sports fan across the board... Blackhawks, Bears, Cubs and Bulls. But the Blackhawks are the only Chicago team that has won a championship this century... well, the White Sox won the World Series in 2005, but who cares about the White Sox? The Blackhawks have actually won the Stanley Cup three out of the past six years.  After every Blackhawks goal at home, "Chelsea Dagger" by The Fratellis is blared in the United Center. With the Blackhawks success over the past several years, I've heard that song A LOT. It's a catchy tune, but their new single, "Baby Don't You Lie To Me" proves that they're more than that band that provides "the Blackhawks song".

The Fratellis new album, Eyes Wide, Tongue Tied is due out August 21st. They have shows scheduled well into the fall, including a smattering of US shows.
