"It's a fast brand of football." That's what I tell people who've never experienced the IFL. It's the fourth season of Cedar Rapids Titans football and we've had a great run [and pass & kick] so far. It's always cool to see the crowd get into the excitement of a close game. My observation deck is the PA announcer booth and the last home game was one of those nail-biters.

This weekend, it's the Wichita Falls NightHawks cruising up from Texas to take on the Titans. Cedar Rapids comes in to the contest with a 6-3 record, while the 'Hawks arrive in Iowa sporting a 3-5 record. Washaun Ealey had three rushing touchdowns to lead the Titans past Wichita Falls 63-40 last weekend in the Lone Star State.

This game has a special meaning for anyone who wears a uniform. It's Salute Our Heroes Night. All active military, policemen, boy scouts in uniform (accompanied by a paid adult) firemen, and veterans will receive a FREE 2nd down ticket to the game. Chris Carson from i107/KDAT and I will also bring onto the field at halftime all active military, policemen, firemen, and veterans for a special ceremony presented by the uniformed boy scouts in attendance.

It should be a great scene at the Cell Center. Bring Mom for her big holiday weekend! See you turfside, Titans fans.
