The Iowa Nice Guy, like many in the Hawkeye State, is an eternal optimist when it comes to Cubs baseball. Now that the season has started and the team is favored to return to the playoffs, hopes are high.

I'm glad he tips the hat to the Iowa Cubs. The parent club's feeder system has fed some top prospects. Will we see another exciting run from the Cubbies this year? It's likely. Maybe you have a great grandparent who'd just love to see this team take it all the way before they shuffle off this mortal coil. For that group of people, I hope it happens. For everyone else, I find the whole thing pathetically amusing. Maybe the Sox will shock everyone and take the title again. That would make this Guy happier.
