This year has been a busy year for members of the Black Crowes -- but not because of anything to do with the Crowes.

Near the end of April, Crowes frontman Chris Robinson released his third album with the appropriately titled Chris Robinson Brotherhood, ‘Phosphorescent Harvest.’ In June, brother and guitarist Rich Robinson also celebrated his third full-length solo album, ‘The Ceaseless Sight.’ And longtime drummer, Steve Gorman, just unveiled Trigger Hippy’s debut self-titled record on Sept. 30.

In a recent interview with Rolling Stone magazine, Gorman opens up about the band he’s been with since the late ‘80s. “Right now, the likelihood of us doing anything again is as low as it’s ever been,” he says about possible new music. “We could obviously all see things differently in a year, but I’ll be surprised if the Black Crowes do something again. Ever.”

Through various interviews this year, both Chris and Rich have essentially said the same thing, though, they’ve never said it with such determination.

The Black Crowes played their final show together on Dec. 14, 2013 at San Francisco’s Bill Graham Civic Auditorium -- a set that included ‘Soul Singing,’ ‘Sting Me,’ ‘Remedy’ and ‘Wiser Time.’

Gorman recognizes that 2015 marks the 25th anniversary of the Crowes’ debut album, ‘Shake Your Moneymaker.’ “You could certainly make a strong case that we should tour next year,” he say, “but we’re all doing our own projects ... I’m solely consumed with Trigger Hippy. I’m not at all interested in getting in a room and trying to figure out Black Crowes music."
