Terrific Weather Expected for Busy 4th of July Weekend

It's shaping up to be another great weekend in Eastern Iowa.

Cedar Rapids will be celebrating the 4th with another Downtown Farmers' Market on Saturday from 7:30 a.m. to Noon.

Take in some baseball as the Kernels host Burlington - 5:05 first pitch on Saturday, 2:05 start on Sunday.

Once the sun goes down and darkness sets in on Saturday night, take in the fireworks exploding over the Cedar River.

We've had a wet spring and early summer, but the weather is going to be perfect for this extended holiday weekend. Justin Roberts from KGAN's WeatherFIRST Forecast Team is calling for plenty of sunshine, comfortable humidity and high temps around 80 through the weekend.
