Who Knew Tequila Could be Good For You!?
Forget a glass of milk, grab me a shot of tequila!
According to CBS2/FOX28 “A new study from Mexico says agave, which is the key ingredient in tequila, contains fructans. Fructans are molecules of fructose and they can improve the absorption of calcium and magnesium, both of which are necessary to maintain good bone health.”
The hope for these scientists is to find better, alternative treatments for osteoporosis. I commend them for their work and I hope they find conclusive results soon.
In the meantime, I’m going to go get myself a margarita! I’m getting older by the minute and can no longer be so careless with my health regime. It’s better to be safe than sorry!
