T-Wolves/Bucks to Cedar Rapids in Oct.

Just announced: NBA Action comes to Cedar Rapids. Oct. 17 at US Cellular Center.

The Minnesota Timberwolves will play the Milwaukee Bucks in a preseason game. Tickets start at $13.50 and go on sale Friday at 10am.

This game marks the Timberwolves’ third appearance in Iowa and second in Cedar Rapids. The Wolves’ previous visit to Cedar Rapids was during the 2002-03 season.

The 2013-14 NBA season was the Wolves’ fourth straight season with an improved record. During the season, the team led the NBA in 1st quarter scoring by averaging 28.7 points. The team set new franchise records for most points (8,768), rebounds (3,669) and three-pointers (600). The Minnesota Timberwolves are slotted with the 13th overall pick in the 2014 NBA Draft, held on Thursday, June 26 at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, N.Y.
