The Stone Roses have given their new single "All for One" its official live debut — and if the latest rumors are on target, it's just the beginning of a new chapter for the band.

The group performed at the Victoria Theatre in Halifax, West Yorkshire on June 7, ending a three-year live hiatus by playing a warm-up gig before a crowd of roughly 1,500 fans. "All for One," which marks the first new Stone Roses music in more than two decades, received its first concert outing as part of a 16-song setlist that opened with "I Wanna Be Adored" and closed with "I Am the Resurrection." The NME approached singer Ian Brown outside a London recording studio before "All for One" was released, and he described the group's new music as "glorious" — sentiments reportedly echoed by drummer Reni, who's been quoted by a fan as confirming there was more new Stone Roses material completed, and that it "sounds beautiful."

Although the band has toured fairly regularly since reuniting in 2011 after a 15-year layoff, their official discography has remained stuck at two records — 1989's widely hailed The Stone Roses and 1994's Second Coming — as years of rumors regarding new music have persistently failed to pan out. Whether or not "All for One" actually leads to more material, the group's keeping busy on stage: following a second warm-up show scheduled for June 8, they're booked for a four-night residency at Manchester Etihad Stadium on June 15, 17, 18 and 19.
