It was news that came out of nowhere last year. I'm still sick about the Sick Puppies' fracture.

Frontman Shimon Moore was summarily dumped last fall. He claims he was "locked out."

Bassist Emma Anzai and drummer Mark Goodwin put out the search lights for a new singer. The news section of the band's official site has very little news.

Moore had all those great guitar licks and jammin' vocals. It will be interesting to see what his future stage endeavors look like. Equally intriguing will be the future announcement of a new lead singer for Sick Puppies. They have a high standard to live up to. Some of their finest moments....

This was a talented bunch that was able to jam furious rockers and beautiful ballads.

Keeping bands together is complicated business. The Pups formed in 1997 in their native Australia. It took them a decade to break through and they had a great run. I love their discography. It is a body of work that will live on, no matter what the future brings.
