The Cedar Rapids RoughRiders haven't won a game this year. They have a record of 0-11-2. The team lost a pair of games over the weekend in Cedar Rapids. This isn't the start we were looking for, as the season began just a short time ago.

They'll try and break the streak on the road next week, with games at Chicago and Muskegon. I'm predicting they win them both.....I hope so, anyway.

This is a young team. We have plenty of hockey left this year. The season goes until April of 2017. Let's not give up hope on our Cedar Rapids RoughRiders.

I was at the game Saturday night and I noticed something. Even with the team struggling this year, I was impressed by the fans. It was a loud crowd and nobody left early. These aren't "fair weather fans," they support the team win or lose. This has always been the case in Cedar Rapids. We have the best fans in the USHL.

We also have one of the BEST coaches in the league. Mark Carlson has been with the RoughRiders since day one. He'll turn the ship around....It takes time to build a championship team, he's a guy that can get it done.

If you haven't been to a game this year, try and make it out. You can find the schedule at www.ridertownusa.com. The Riders could use a few more screaming fans cheering them on.
