Both Iowa and Iowa State announced start times for part of the 2017 schedule today. Let's start with the Hawkeyes.

[UPDATED 6/6 10:30 a.m.) The Big Ten Network has announced they'll televise Iowa's season opener Saturday, September 2 will kick off at Kinnick Stadium at 11 a.m.

[Original story 5/31] Though the game time for Iowa's opener against Wyoming (September 2) still hasn't been announced, we now know the Iowa-Iowa State game on September 9 will kickoff in Ames at 11 a.m. It will be televised by either ESPN or ESPN2.

The next week, the Hawkeyes host North Texas in a 2:30 kickoff, on ESPN2.

Iowa's Homecoming game against Illinois on October 7 will begin at 11 a.m. No TV network has been announced for that one yet.

Iowa's 2017 regular season finale on Black Friday, November 24, in Lincoln, Nebraska will have a unique start time. The game versus the Nebraska Cornhuskers will kickoff at 3 p.m. and be televised by FS1.

Start times for the other eight Iowa games have not been announced.

Meanwhile, Iowa State has start times for the first four games of the season, the second under head coach Matt Campbell. Iowa State will host UNI on September 2 in a 7 p.m. kickoff inside Jack Trice Stadium. The game will be available on CyclonesTV.

The following week it's the Iowa Hawkeyes (see above).

The Cyclones hit the road for the first time on September 16 with a trip to take on Akron. Kickoff is 11 a.m. on CBS Sports Network.

The Big 12 campaign begins Thursday, September 28 with Iowa State hosting the Texas Longhorns. The game will be televised by ESPN and kickoff will be either 6:30 or 7 p.m.

The remaining eight games on Iowa State's schedule to not have start times designated.

Football season will be here before we know it, but let's all do our best to enjoy the summer first.
