Scott Weiland Will Not Tour With New Supergroup Art of Anarchy

Yesterday (Jan. 21), we reported on new supergroup Art of Anarchy. The band, consisting of former Stone Temple Pilots / Velvet Revolver singer Scott Weiland, Guns N' Roses' Ron 'Bumblefoot' Thal and Disturbed bassist John Moyer (among others), teased a new album for spring 2015. However, it seems that Weiland does not plan to be a touring member of the group.

It's never easy to replace a vocalist, especially when their voice pioneers your debut album. The self-titled album was produced by Bumblefoot, but that's just about all the info we've got regarding Art of Anarchy. According to Weiland, though, it seems Art of Anarchy will be playing live dates -- just not with Scott at the helm.

Weiland addressed his personal plans regarding Art of Anarchy in a new Facebook post:

Scott Weiland introduced us to his Wildabouts group in 2013, shortly after parting ways with Stone Temple Pilots once again. Slash also shot down Weiland's potential involvement with Velvet Revolver earlier in the year.

Scott Weiland and the Wildabouts plan to release their new album, 'Blaster,' on March 31.
