Santa Cop Program Returns To Eastern Iowa

Collins Community Credit Union in Cedar Rapids has teamed up with the Cedar Rapids Police Protective Charity for another year of "Santa Cop." The program pairs police officers with children in need during a shopping trip for winter necessities and toys.

From now until December 4th, the Cedar Rapids Police Protective Charity will be raising money for Santa Cop Program. Children can be referred to the program through schools, service organizations and by the officers themselves.

If you would like to help, you can make cash donations at any Cedar Rapids Collins Community Credit Union Branch. You can also send checks to the Cedar Rapids police department addressed to the Cedar Rapids Police Protective Charity, or online at crpolicecharity.com.

What I like about this program is 100 percent of the donations are used towards the event. There are no overhead expenses. If you donate $10, you know all of that is going to help a child in need from this community.
