Rutgers Is Next Up For Red Hot Hawkeyes (VIDEO)

The Iowa Hawkeyes basketball team had a tough act to follow. How on earth could they compete with a football program that had an undefeated regular season, a trip to the Rose Bowl and a Top 10 ranking to finish the season? Well, Fran McCaffery has his team climbing the rankings with their first 5-0 start in the Big Ten in 19 years.

The Hawkeyes took out another very tough opponent on Sunday(1/17), defeating Michigan at Carver-Hawkeye by a score of 82-71.

Next up for the Hawks are the Rutgers Scarlet Knights on Thursday (1/21). After that trip out to New Jersey, the Hawks will be back at Carver-Hawkeye to host a tough Purdue team on Sunday (1/24).
