If you have kids in school like I do, they have no doubt been watching the Decorah Eagle cam online. Two baby bald eagles have hatched. But wildlife experts say there could be bad news for the third egg.

The Raptor Resource Project announced Thursday that there is still no sign of the eagle's third egg hatching. They noted that eagle eggs have hatched as late as 44 days after they were laid, so it could still happen in the next two days. However, the first two eggs hatched last month, and they said that eagle eggs have never hatched this far apart before in Decorah.

If the egg doesn't hatch, the Raptor Resource Project will remove it when the eagles aren't in their nest. They'll study it to find out why it didn't hatch.
