Popular Cedar Rapids Restaurant Expanding in the Corridor

A restaurant that's been delighting taste buds in Cedar Rapids for more than a quarter-century is adding another location.

"Vito's on 42nd" is expanding to add "Vito's on 965," this summer, in North Liberty. They'll be moving into the former Bobby's Live on 965 location.

Vito's on 42nd has just about everything with almost 60 American and Italian items. North Liberty should expect more of the same. Brian Winders, who's partners with Doug Banowetz and Jordan Caviness in the business, told the Corridor Business Journal "We hope to bring a quality option to an area of North Liberty that doesn't have a lot of dining options."

The North Liberty location will be close to a golf course, much like the Cedar Rapids restaurant. Vito's on 42nd is near Twin Pines Golf Course while Vito's on 965 will be near Quail Creek Golf Course.

Doors could open within two months for Vito's on 965 and if it proves as successful as Vito's on 42nd, more could be on the way in Eastern Iowa.
