Police ID Waterloo Shooting Victims: 1 Dead, 2 Wounded
Police identified 21-year-old Otavious Donte Brown as the man who was killed by a gunshot wound to the chest in Waterloo Sunday night.
Two other young men suffered gunshot wounds in the drive-by shooting that occurred sometime shortly before 6:00 p.m. Sunday in the 800 block of Logan Ave.
Waterloo Police report the three were taken to Allen Hospital, where Brown later died. The other two victims were treated and released, according to The Courier.
Witnesses say the shots came from a green SUV traveling north on Logan Ave. Police say they've seized a vehicle they believe was involved in the incident but have not confirmed if any arrests have been made.
That location of Logan Ave. has been investigated for shootings before, according to the Courier, most recently on June 29, when officers responded to calls of gunfire in the area.
