Playing by His Own Beat

Father John Misty is a fascinating dude.

He eats the magic mushrooms.

He freely admits to toking up daily.

While performing on the Late Show with David Letterman, he shouted out, "Save me, white Jesus!"

He simply doesn't care. And he's crazy like a fox.

Misty (actual name: Josh Tillman), recently released his album I Love You, Honeybear to rave reviews. The songs are whimsical, sardonic and touching, often at the same time.

Tillman will bring his show to the Englert in Iowa City on April 5th as a part of the Mission Creek Festival.
