The Pixies have been using the run-up to the Sept. 30 release of Head Carrier to test out the new material. Now professional video has surfaced of the premieres of three of the songs.

You can see the title track above, while "Classic Masher" and "Baal's Back" are below. They were filmed on July 7 at the NOS Alive! in Passeio Maritimo de Alges, Portugal, which was the second date on the tour. A fourth song from the record, “Um Chagga Lagga,” was also performed and you can listen to the studio version here.

Head Carrier is the second album of new material since the Pixies reformed in 2004, with Indie Cindy -- a collection of three EPs -- arriving in 2014. It's their first record to fully feature bassist Paz Lenchantin, who replaced founding bassist Kim Deal in 2013 (Simon Archer of the Fall played on Indie Cindy, with Lenchantin appearing on one song and the bonus live disc). She also sings lead on one track, “All I Think About Now,” which is a "thank-you letter" to Deal.

Lenchantin, who previously played with A Perfect Circle and Zwan, is now a full-time member of the band, news that arrived with the press release announcing Head Carrier. "I spent three years learning to understand what being a Pixie meant," she said at the time, "and now, my heart, spirit, and love for their music is embedded in me and I feel like I have become a Pixie. We had been more about the history of the Pixies, but now, we are about going forward.”
