According to Wikipedia, NATIONAL VODKA DAY is a "marketing creation that has been celebrated in the United States on October 4, since at least 2009." It has its own website and has been noted on news websites such as CBS. That's good enough for me, let's celebrate!

I've been waiting my entire life for a holiday like this one. I just wish I would have known about this earlier. I could have been celebrating the last 8 years! I guess all I can do is make up for lost time. Let's make a drink!

I found some great vodka recipes at www.smirnoff.com. My favorite is Ocean Breeze Punch. It's very simple, follow along!

1.5 Cups of Smirnoff Vodka

1.5 Cups Curacao

2 Cups Lemonade

Lemon Wheel Garnish

Mix and enjoy! But keep in mind, this will serve 8 people. I had a tough day at the office too, but moderation is important on National Vodka Day.

I plan to celebrate this important holiday all week long. I hope you do too.....Let me know what your favorite vodka drink is and comment below. We can drink, I mean discuss on The KRNA Morning Show!
