Earlier this week, Radiohead’s Philip Selway said the English alt-rockers are “ launching ourselves” into the recording process in hopes of finishing their next album sometime this fall. That certainly appears to be the case per three new photos composer Robert Ziegler -- who worked with the band on The King of Limbs -- shared on Twitter yesterday (Sept. 5):

Two of the photos depict Thom Yorke, Jonny Greenwood and Ed O’Brien, plus longtime producer and collaborator Nigel Godrich, in the studio. Another photo features a string orchestra, perhaps the first sign of what we can expect from the follow-up to The King of Limbs.

Previously, Selway said, “We’ve got quite a busy autumn coming up. We want to finish a record and that’s where we’re at.” The drummer also said the band had plans to bulk up their recording schedule and truly dive into their ninth LP.

The King of Limbs arrived back in 2011. Since then, both Yorke and Selway dropped their second solo efforts (last year’s Tomorrow’s Modern Boxes and Weatherhouse, respectively), while Jonny Greenwood has focused on his film composition work.
