Those hoping for more Spartan combat are going to happy with a potential Halo spin-off series in the works.

VG247 reports that Microsoft Studios is in the early stages of making a supposed Halo spin-off series. Microsoft Studios is looking for a new senior producer to helm a new project line being made with direction and insight from 343 Industries along with another studio. The job offering does not really include many details about the project line other than Microsoft's intentions of making it meet the high standards of the Halo series. The job listing's reference to a "project line" as opposed to just a single project hints that there will be more than one of these titles being made.

“343 Industries is looking for a Senior Producer to help develop a new project line in the Halo universe. This is your chance to work on one of the most exciting and creative intellectual properties in the industry with one of the industry’s most talented teams,” the job's description reads. “As a Publishing Senior Producer, you are core to aiding the productivity of your development partner and ensure you remove any roadblocks for them whilst driving forward and representing the project’s needs internally."

"The ideal candidate will be able to gracefully shift between different teams (internal and external) aiding them were necessary and contributing to overall smooth running of the project/projects.”

Referring to internal and external teams suggests that the other studio working under 343 Industries for this Halo project could be a developer outside of Microsoft's ownership. Previous Halo spin-offs include the real-time strategy, Halo Wars, and top-down shooter, Halo: Spartan Wars. Given Halo 5: Guardians and Halo: The Master Chief Collection's Xbox One exclusivity, this spin-off project could be released for Xbox 360 to satiate series fans who have yet to make the jump to next-gen.
