Everclear have just announced the release of a new album. 'Black Is the New Black,' the band's first album in three years, won't hit the streets until spring of 2015, but band leader, singer and guitarist, Art Alexakis, is keeping busy in the meantime, hitting the road for a run of solo dates starting in November.

'Songs & Stories -- An Evening With Art Alexakis of Everclear' kicks off on Nov. 14 in Ramona, Calif. and wraps on Dec. 17 in West Hollywood. Fans attending the shows will get a special download card for the first single from the new album; the card will allow instant access to the song, which won't be officially released until next year.

The band, who enjoyed big sales in the mid-'90s with their first batch of albums, recently celebrated their 20th anniversary with a '90s-themed tour including Soul Asylum, Spacehog and Eve 6.
