Two Cedar Rapids natives are in hot water with authorities in Nebraska. Law enforcement in Omaha stopped a vehicle on its way to Iowa and found drugs in the car.

Sheriff deputies pulled the car over on Wednesday and found 14-pounds of marijuana, five pounds of cocaine and 23 containers of hash in a vehicle being driven across the Iowa-Nebraska border by two men.

The suspects' names have been released as Cedar Rapids natives Maxwell Podgorski, 21, and passenger Jermal Brown, 24, and they were stopped in Nebraska en route back to Iowa from Colorado.

Cops pulled the vehicle over after noticing the smell of drugs, and their suspicions were confirmed.
