My Suggestions For Coach Ferentz On The Bye Weekend
After a victory over the weekend to kick off the B10 season, Hawk fans are facing the dreaded bye week. Keeping oneself busy without football on an autumn Saturday is a real challenge. Think about how tough it is for Kirk Ferentz. OK, maybe it's not tough at all. A little extra film time/injury recovery is probably a nice thing for the Hawkeye Head Coach and his team.
Here's 5 weekend suggestions beyond strategizing to stay in the W column with a 24-spot for the third straight week.
- Call Hayden. See if that barbwire fence is still pulling in good sports talk.
- Ask Mary what she's wearing for Halloween. Rent horror movie at Redbox on W. Burlington St. to help her with ideas.
- Chip some golf balls into the woods from the back deck.
- Replace that screen door that the dog shredded over the summer.
- Have Kaeding over for supper. Boot some footballs into the woods from the back deck.
Indiana, Maryland and Northwestern are up next. Wonder what Terrapin Tailgating is like. Might be a good opportunity to road trip...unless the local cops interrogate 55-year-old pony-tailed flip flop-wearing Natty Light drinkers named Skip. In that case, I might just stay home.
