It looks like portions of Iowa could be ushering in the new year with MORE SNOW!

As of Wednesday morning, the National Weather Service in Des Moines says that snow could arrive after lunch in the Waterloo-area on New Year's Day, and may see accumulations of 1-3".

But remember...this storm system could alter its path and that could cause a big change in the when, where, and how much snow shows up ---- if any!

The record for most snow on New Year's Day in Waterloo is 4.5" in 1942. The most recent time that at least ONE INCH of snow fell on January 1 was in 2014. (exactly 1")
