Modest Mouse Frontman Isaac Brock Turns 41 Today (VIDEO)

Modest Mouse frontman, Isaac Brock turns 41 today. Brock was born July 9, 1975 in Helena, Montana (and shares his birthday with rocker Jack White).  He had an interesting upbringing, living in hippie communes, moving around (Montana, Oregon and Washington), cleaning out meat trucks for work, etc.

Brock has been with Modest Mouse since their inception in the mid-90’s.  Well, he kinda is Modest Mouse.  It had been eight years between studio albums before their terrific sixth studio album, Strangers to Ourselves was released in March 2015.

Brock is an interesting dude.  His past includes DUI’s, cutting himself on stage, drug use -- hey, rock isn’t always pretty. Maybe you can label him a “troubled genius.”  I think his songwriting and lyrics are incredible though.
