After months of campaigning, election day is finally here. Voters can head to the polls today and decide a full slate of local races and issues. Polls are open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Among the races that will be decided today include the mayoral race in Cedar Rapids, city council races in Iowa City, Coralville, and Marion, and municipalities in Linn and Johnson counties. There is also a library bond issue up for a vote in Hiawatha and a hotel/motel tax vote in University Heights.

If you're not sure where to go and vote in Linn County, the Linn County Auditor's Office can point you in the right direction. Click HERE to find your voting location. Some locations have changed this year so you may want to check before heading out to vote.

If you are not a registered voter you can also do that today too. Voters can register at their polling place by showing a valid form of identification. A driver's license with your current address will do. You can also present an Iowa non-driver ID card, out of state license or non-driver ID card, US passport, US military ID, ID card issued by employer, or a student ID issued by an Iowa high school or college.
