Iowa superstar Maddie Poppe returns to the state next month.

The Clarksville native, who won American Idol in May, comes to Eastern Iowa to play a concert benefiting the University of Northern Iowa's Dance Marathon, whose proceeds go to University of Iowa Stead Family Children's Hospital.

You can see Maddie Thursday, December 6 at Gallagher-Bluedorn Performing Arts Center in Cedar Falls. The concert starts at 7 p.m.

Tickets, starting at $20 go on sale online next Monday, November 19 at 10 a.m., via UniTix, through the University of Northern Iowa. You can purchase them in person at UniTix box offices starting November 26.

It's her first performance in Eastern Iowa since her Idol win, though she has performed at the Iowa State Fair, and sold out the Wild Rose casinos in Clinton and Jefferson, Iowa this year. She also recently won a People's Choice Award for "Competition Contestant of 2018".

You may remember she had to cancel a stop at Market After Dark in Cedar Rapids last summer, so it's a lucky break for us to have her back in our neck of the woods. We always look forward to welcoming her back home and it looks like we get another chance in just a few weeks.
