Louisville hired Bobby Petrino to head their football program this week. This isn't the first dance for these two. See, Petrino was the head football coach for the Cardinals from 2003 until 2007, when he bolted to be the head coach for the NFL's Atlanta Falcons. During his time at Louisville, Petrino interviewed for several jobs behind the administration's back and left Louisville in the dust when an NFL offer came around. His tenure in the NFL was a complete crash-and-burn so he bolted to be the head coach for the University of Arkansas. Things were going well for awhile until Bobby fired up the chopper and took his mistress for a joy-ride. Petrino got some road rash and the pink slip from Arkansas. Petrino coached this past year at Western Kentucky and applied for the Louisville job after former Louisville coach Charlie Strong went to Texas. The only thing more surprising than Petrino applying for the position was Louisville actually giving it to him. Petrino can win games, no doubt, but is his baggage really worth it? This guy's burned you before, Louisville. Why let him do it to you again?
