UPDATE 7/20: According to the Cedar Valley Humane Society Facebook page, they have received enough donations to hopefully have the problem fixed very soon!

ORIGINAL: According to a report from CBS2, the Cedar Valley Humane Society is seeking donations after one of the air conditioning units at the shelter went out.

As you can see from the shelter's Facebook page, they are doing everything they can to keep the animals cool during this time which has included using fans.

The fans will only suffice for so long though. The entire furnace system will need to be replaced in order for them to be able to properly care for and keep the animals healthy. The cost of this is a whopping $7,280! That's rough for the amount of animals this shelter takes in every year that are in need of medical procedures, etc.

With CBS2 reporting temperature highs in the 90's through the rest of this week, donations are urgently needed to fix the issue and keep these furballs safe and cool. You can make your donation online at cvhumane.org.
