L7 rocked the '90s as one of the grunge era's key acts, but by 2001 the music scene had changed and the band, who had been active since 1985, decided to call it a career. Fast-forward to 2015 and L7 are back, taking part in a reunion tour meant to coincide with the release of a new documentary titled L7: Pretend We're Dead.

So far, most of the band's dates have taken place in Europe, but after a pair of sold out July shows in Los Angeles, the group has just announced their first extended North American touring since they reunited. Beginning Aug. 28 in San Francisco, L7 will hit stages in the U.S. and Canada. Included in the run are stops at the Riot Fest dates in Chicago and Denver, plus the band has booked several November shows in the lead up to their Fun Fun Fun Fest performance on Nov. 8.

Speaking of the band's new documentary, L7: Pretend We're Dead was funded by a Kickstarter campaign. The DVD of the film is expected to ship in October.

During their tenure, "Pretend We're Dead" was the band's biggest hit, reaching No. 8 on the Alternative Chart back in 1992. L7 also enjoyed varying degrees of success with the songs "Andres," "Everglade" and "Monster." Check out their tour dates below.
