One diehard Nirvana fan or a cardigan connoisseur with truly refined tastes is now the proud owner of Kurt Cobain’s famous MTV Unplugged sweater. And it only cost that individual $137,500.

As we previously learned, the green cardigan Cobain wore while filming Nirvana’s 1993 MTV Unplugged appearance was one of many pieces of rock-and-roll memorabilia up for auction at Julien’s Live over the weekend. The sweater opened at $20,000 but ended up more than doubling the high end of its estimated going rate of $60,000.

The plaques signifying In Utero’s Platinum and Nevermind’s Gold benchmarks went for $1,280 each. The lock of Cobain’s hair, however, appears to have been taken down from the website.

John Lennon’s Gibson guitar went for $2.41 million, while Ringo Starr’s drumhead from the Beatles’ 1964 appearance on The Ed Sullivan Show sold for $2.125 million. Items from Eddie Vedder, Elvis, Prince, Madonna and many more were also up for bid.
