I love pumpkin spice-flavored foods/drinks as much as the next guy, but it's not even fall yet!

There are summer people, and then there are fall people, and now those fall people want to steal away your last month of summer!

I'm joking of course, but it is true that companies are getting a little eager to release their fall products. Announcements about fall-flavored food/drink releases have been made all week long, even though it's only the second week in August. The first day of fall is September 22nd and it's still 80+ degrees outside, so I'd say we're jumping the gun a little bit.

Am I mad about the pumpkin spice take-over? Not really. I'm one of those annoying fall people that wants to wear sweaters and sit around a bonfire and drink a pumpkin spice lattes. I'm not ashamed. But I will admit that it's a little too soon.

Let's start with the latest announcement from Starbucks. Last year, Starbucks started selling their Pumpkin Spice Frappuccinos in pre-packaged bottles at Costco, but they are now expanding that to major grocery stores across the country. You know, just in case you don't have a Costco membership and you can't make it into Starbucks. Only Costco will have them in bulk packs of 15, though, just in case one isn't enough.

Speaking of pumpkin spice beverages, McDonald's is also on board with the trend, revealing this week that they will be bringing back their Pumpkin Spice Lattes. They haven't been in all locations nationwide since the 2013 season, so I guess McDonald's is super excited to bring them back as soon as possible. They will be available everywhere starting August 31st.

Let's move on to food. Pumpkin Spice Cheerios have already started hitting the shelves of your local grocery store. They were originally scheduled for a September release, but I guess they wanted to jump on the bandwagon ASAP. The good news is, I heard that these are actually delicious.

And finally, M&M's have released a new fall flavor, but it's not pumpkin spice, it's butterscotch... I'm sorry, BOO-tterscotch. Oops.TIME wrote, "The new candy combines 'the scary good flavors of butterscotch and white chocolate for the perfect seasonal treat.'” This new flavor, along with Pecan Pie, Crispy S’mores, and Candy Corn, will be hitting shelves in the next couple of weeks. Guess nobody told them that it's still August.

What do you think, is it too early for pumpkin spice/fall flavors? Or is it just right? Share your thoughts with us in the comments.
