Monte Morris knew he wouldn't be a first round draft pick during last night's NBA Draft. Morris waited nearly four and a half hours to hear his name called. The Denver Nuggets selected the Iowa State point guard with the 51st overall pick in the 2nd round of the draft.

Morris becomes the 38th Cyclone drafted into the NBA and the fifth since just 2010. Morris led ISU in scoring and assists his senior year at Ames. He was selected first team All-Big 12 and was a third team All-American. He also led the nation in assist to turnover ratio in three of his four seasons at Iowa State.

Meanwhile, Iowa's Peter Jok did not hear his name called but quickly signed with a team via the free agent route.
